About Tracy Simpson
A counsellor with over 16 years in private practice in Barnsley, working with people in person and online across South Yorkshire.
I work in a calm, down-to-earth way, and I'll meet you where you are. My approach is integrative, which means I don't put everyone through the same method. Person-centred and psychodynamic work is my foundation, and I bring in more structured tools when they'll help.
Sometimes that means making sense of where a feeling comes from. Sometimes it means practical things you can try between sessions. We work out together what suits you.

How I work
Every person I see is different, and I tailor what I do to what you actually need. We usually begin with a free 15-minute call so you can ask questions and we can get a sense of whether working together feels right — there’s no pressure and no commitment required.
Sessions last 50 minutes at the South Yorkshire Physiotherapy Centre, Day Street, Barnsley (S70 1NW), or online by secure video. Available Monday–Friday, 08:00–18:00.
