Registered to accept referrals from Bupa and Aviva. Please check any policy excess with your provider before booking.
Health insurance
I am registered to accept referrals from Bupa and Aviva. If your policy includes counselling, please contact your insurer first to check your cover and request authorisation. An excess may apply.
If private fees are a barrier, NHS Talking Therapies is available free via GP referral.
Cancellation
I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange. Sessions cancelled within 24 hours are charged in full.
Payment
Payment is due at the start of each session by bank transfer or card. Supervision fees are agreed individually and invoiced monthly.

What happens in the free 15-minute call?
It's a relaxed, no-pressure chat by phone. You can say as much or as little as you like. It's simply a chance to see whether you feel comfortable working with me before you commit to anything.
How many sessions will I need?
There's no fixed answer — it depends on you and what you'd like to work on. Some people come for a handful of sessions, others for longer. We'll review how things are going together as we go.
Do you offer sessions in person and online?
Yes. I see people in person in Barnsley and online by video across South Yorkshire and the wider UK, whichever suits you best.
Can I use my health insurance?
I'm registered to accept referrals from Bupa and Aviva. Please check with your provider first for any authorisation needed and whether an excess applies.
Where are you based?
I'm based at the South Yorkshire Physiotherapy Centre on Day Street in Barnsley town centre (S70 1NW) — easy to reach from Penistone, Darfield, Royston and the surrounding areas.
Is what I share in sessions confidential?
Yes — everything discussed is confidential within the limits set out in your counselling agreement. I follow BACP's ethical framework, and will explain any exceptions before we begin.
Do you offer reduced fees?
My standard fees are £70 (individual) and £90 (couples). If cost is a genuine barrier, please mention it when we speak — I have occasional concession spaces.
