Terms and conditions
The terms under which counselling services are provided by Counselling Services Ltd, trading as Barnsley Counselling.

1. About the service
Counselling services are provided by Counselling Services Ltd trading as Barnsley Counselling. The lead practitioner is Tracy Simpson, Registered Member MBACP (reg. 45587), Accredited Registrant of the NCPS (membership NCS20-00911). Sessions take place at the South Yorkshire Physiotherapy Centre, Day Street, Barnsley, S70 1NW, or online via secure video.
2. Fees and payment
Current fees: Individual sessions £70 (50 minutes); Couples sessions £90 (50 minutes); Workplace counselling £80 (50 minutes). Fees are payable by Stripe or bank transfer before each session. Supervision £70 per session (90 minutes); enquiry only — please call or email to arrange.
3. Cancellation
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or not attended, will be charged at the full session rate, unless there are exceptional circumstances and we agree otherwise. This is set out in full in the counselling agreement.
4. Confidentiality
All information shared within sessions is confidential, subject to the limits set out in the counselling agreement. Tracy Simpson is bound by the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
5. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud. We are not liable for losses arising from events outside our reasonable control.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
7. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at barnsleycounselling.co.uk/terms-and-conditions/.
