Gambling addiction counselling
A confidential, non-judgemental setting to understand what's driving it, and work towards the change you want.
When gambling stops being a choice
- You've tried to cut back or stop — and you haven't been able to
- Gambling has started to affect your finances, relationships or work
- You hide the extent of it from people you care about
- The urge to gamble comes as relief from something else
A way forward without shame
I've trained with GamCare and have worked with people experiencing gambling difficulties at various stages. Counselling can help you understand what drives the behaviour and find healthier ways to manage the underlying pressures — whether those are stress, boredom, escapism or something deeper.
Counselling offers support and space to work things through. It isn't a medical treatment or a quick fix, and we'll always be honest with you about that.

My background
I completed specialist gambling addiction training through GamCare and have supported clients at varying stages of difficulty. My approach combines CBT — which is well-evidenced for problem gambling — with person-centred work that acknowledges the emotional complexity involved.
Counselling is one part of a recovery pathway. If you are in financial crisis, GamCare’s freephone helpline is 0808 8020 133 (24/7). For debt support, the Money Advice Service is free at 0800 138 7777.
